In an effort to build awareness of the problem, the ABA Task Force on Human Trafficking, is marshaling the expertise of legal experts around the country who have first-hand experience with victims.
According to the U.S. State Department, up to 21 million people worldwide—more than half of them women—are victims of labor or sex trafficking. In the U.S., it’s estimated that up to 250,000 children—ages 10-17—are exploited in the commercial sex industry.
